Would you rather have Madsen improving Stanford Basketball and Taylor improving Cal Football, or like it the way it is?

I've offered my Cal friends a hostage exchange coach swap: Madsen for Taylor.

So far none of them have taken me up on it.

I believe that had you offered them the option of Madsen as the Cal head football coach instead of hoops, they would have quickly said yes.  Wilcox will be cashing unemployment checks within a year or two.

As for Taylor, he appears to be a Wilcox-like guy - a pleasant personality but not a coach who can lead a major program to a championship level.
