I do think there should be some bitterness. Of the four AD responses, Oregon State's was the best. "I'm pissed!" Stanford and Cal issue non-responsive "we're aware" responses. I didn't catch Washington State's. I would like to hear something out of Taylor about this, as a proud Pac-10 alumnus. 'I don't know how many games we'll win, but most of our opponents have ruined a historic conference, and they will feel our presence this one last time.' Although to be fair (why be fair), it is hard to project too much anger at schools for doing exactly what Stanford would have done given the chance. Were they given a chance and passed, or never had the chance?
At the least, I believe the Final Four should paint Pac-4 logos on their fields and courts and wear Pac-4 logos on uniforms. Or is that too petty?
What is to stop George K from declaring the Late Eight ineligible for conference championships this academic year? Because. Don't like it, leave early. What are they going to do? Fire the guy? He's done after this year anyway.
