I agree with Mick that 2006 was the low point. For what it’s worth, that team ended as Sagarin #104. We are currently Sagarin #99. Last year was #87, 2021 was #89, and 2019 was #73 (2020 was #75 but it’s harder to trust given short schedule and lack of non-conference). Given the program destruction and exodus Shaw wrought, I think avoiding being the worst team in Stanford history is a reasonable goal. If Taylor can muster a top 90 team similar to Shaw’s last teams that would be very impressive.
