What is the point of ever using juvenile references regarding other academic insitutions? I think it says more about the author than anything else (grow up, already......).
Interestingly enough, I raised this issue recently at BI and was roundly criticized. Most of the people who post there enjoy their little zingers. To me, it is ridiculously infantile...
I have great respect for Stanford and my Alma Mater. We are incredibly fortunate to have two world class universities in the Bay Area. To suggest otherwise only makes one look rather foolish...
