IMHO, I think it reasonable that the "Olympic" sports allow professionals; the athletes need to find some way to pay for all that training. I think Olympic basketball, baseball, and hockey have lost something going to the professional ranks. Not sure there is a middle ground, though.
2028 will be really interesting with flag football as an official sport and probably populated solely by NFLers. Wonder if Luck would be interested in coming back for a Gold Medal. . . .
