OSU is very good (#20 overall FEI) and super old in the trenches. This will be another "men vs. boys" game a la UCLA, except they actually average a higher YPC on the ground than the Chipster. They are one of the best rushing teams in the country. Very plausible we see another blowout.
By the way, our run defense actually performed very admirably against UCLA, holding them to 4.1 YPC - well below their season average of 4.9. Ditto vs. UW (3.4 YPC vs season average of 4.8) and Wazzu (4 rushing yards total allowed!!!). Run D has been pretty good lately, which is great to build upon for the future...but unfortunately our pass D is one of the worst in America. We were fortunate that weather had some effect on the Cougs game. I'm looking to see how the run D holds up against its biggest challenge this season outside of the Ducks.
