on the Stanford campus was UGLI-related and, of course, it involved a roommate of mine. He had rented a carrel and was storing his herb there. Unfortunately, said herb had made part of its trek across the border under a load of fruit, which made it quite fragrant and not in a good way. It was also producing flies. The ever-vigilant UGLI librarians used their passkey and opened the carrel. Santa Clara County sheriffs were called, our amigo got arrested and we all ran home to fire up the vacuum cleaners.
