I don't think our basketball players are ever getting in there straight out of college. The admission rate is 4-6%.
In general, no one is getting into a top business school straight out of college without work experience. As for GSB admissions, yes it is difficult. But it gets a lot easier if you come from a top consulting firm such as McKinsey/Bain/BCG (which some might argue is harder to get in than GSB as they themselves require top test scores and high GPAs).
