Okay, here's a generational question: When did UGLY stop being a widely used nickname for the Meyer Library? When I was a student, nobody used the name Meyer, ever; I'd guess most people on campus, asked for directions to the Meyer Library, would have said, "I don't know that building."

So what was that big library called when you were a student?

When I arrived in Fall 1977, it was usually called Meyer.

I'll add that Meyer was a good place to take a nap between classes.  Quiet and never crowded during the day.  Big stuffed chairs to snooze in.
