I wish the NCAA also had included numbers for the total population.  Ie, how many WBB student-athletes are there (ie, how many did NOT enter the portal), and how many have aid.

Interesting stats, thanks for posting. I can totally see how basketball (both mens and womens) is an entirely different beast than swimming or other sports. 

There are roughly 350 D1 womens basketball programs. If you take an average of 13 per roster, and remove 3 for players without eligibility left, you get 10*350=3500 total population. I'm missing some math for redshirts and other cases, but I bet that gets us within 15% or a range of around 3000-4000.  So roughly 1 out of every 3 or 4 womens basketball players are entering the portal.
