The Cardinal showed excellent patience and disciplined play on Day 1. After the first 10 holes, no Stanford player was under par and the team was +3. But the putts started falling and they finished with a rush of birdies to end at -3. The team was so consistent that the drop score was Sadie Englemann at +1.

Stanford sits in 4th place with teams still on the course. They are in much better shape than their playing partners from Wake Forest and South Carolina, the #2 and #3 teams in the country. Wake is at +7, South Carolina at +8. The lead score was posted this morning by Clemson at -8.
Lottie Woad from Florida State leads the individual race at -7.
