Those figures represent how many teams the two schools have finished ahead of, finished behind, and tied with across the NCAA regionals and the NCAA championships. In Stanford's case they have finished ahead of 47 teams, not finished behind any, and tied with one in those tournaments. Add in the Pac 12 tourney and the numbers are even better.
Of course, those records are for stroke play events, not match play. But they do indicate that Stanford's entire squad is in top form. UCLA is no slouch - I believe they won 4 tournaments this year, including the Pac 12 Preview at which the two teams were tied going into the final round and UCLA came out on top by 4 strokes. Rachel Heck didn't play in that event.
