I worry now less about other teams poaching our players, but more about some team poaching our coach.  Stanford has been a top team ever since Anne Walker arrived.  I think you can tell the schools with outstanding coaches as they are at the top of their sport every year. Players come and go, but coaches generally do not.
The competition next year for a playing slot will be significant.  The depth will be such Stanford could probably field two teams.

Anne Walker played at Cal and coached at UC Davis before coming to Stanford. She seems like a NorCal lifer to me.
