Now that Stanford is on this path the BCS stuff does not matter.
If UCLA beats Stanford at any point, then Oregon and UCLA will be in the running for BCS invites. Crazy stuff could happen, but at this point Stanford is all in on the Pac-12 championship route.
It is a little silly that Stanford is only #11. A road loss to the #1 team in the country. A road loss to a top 25 team. And wins over two teams that were ranked #1 at some point during this season.
I guess the good news is that the rankings imply the team has to do a lot more to get national respect, so there is no need to celebrate deep into the week.
