I’m sure these 13 kids were just as excited as we were when admitted; How did that turn to trashing the Presidents office and spray painting “Kill Cops” on the quad sandstone?
Anyone know if there’s a standard penalty if convicted of committing a felony on campus? Or is it up to the university’s discretion?
Also remember media (and certainly the Stanford Review) love extremes and shocking graphics while the wider response is never represented well by the extreme edge. Here’s a more hopeful report from a Stanford professor on how the other 99.8% of campus is reacting to the conflict. This blog depicts a more thoughtful, mature, and dare I say, hopeful response than the actions of the above 13.

good points. I provided the link as I was curious about the composition of the 13. locally (Emory), quite a few arrested protestors did not have an Emory affiliation. the Daily reporter arrest may be an interesting court review.
