Not sure how that is relevant. Currently and as far as we can see the ACC is the strongest conference by a long shot.
Your point argues for why we should embrace the ACC.

I wasn't including the Ivy League in my analysis.
There are some who argue that we should give up our athletic ambitions and follow the Ivy League approach. I see this as an entirely subjective view and not something that can be resolved by rational debate.
