Source that Big 10 would take us for free?

I think some Stanford fans were open to that or interested in that, but I don't think that offer was ever made. Certainly never read about that in any news report. Considering we're making basically no money in ACC I think we would have taken that deal if it was actually offered.

I don't think there is any way Stanford could go to Big 10 in the current landscape. If the best Big 10 teams break away and form some Super League with the best of the SEC, then maybe we'd have a chance with the Northwestern and Illinois left behinds. Probably at that point we'd be better off rebuilding something with other former Pac squads also left behind.
