Can’t argue with the offensive stats, but I may have a different interpretation on their meaning and outlook.
What I saw yesterday was an offense that’s not yet working, but at least I can see what it’s trying to do and what the mistakes that stalled it were. In earlier/past games the plays were doomed or busted from the start. I couldn’t even tell what we were trying to do. Yesterday i saw missed throws, holding penalties and false starts, but many plays were executed well and with good protection, and when they didn’t I knew why.
The outcome may not be too different in the stats, but as a fan that gives me hope and feels like progress.
It may come down to Syracuse not being all that great, but like another posted said, I bet they’re in the upper half of our schedule.
In any case, really appreciate the analysis and levelheadedness of it as always
