Well, the MWC will take in a bunch of money from exit fees. As the Pac-12 has no media rights deal and so any projected income is entirely speculative, its possible a school might do better staying, not paying an exit fee, but getting a portion from all the leavers. Maybe the new Pac makes less money than expected or the duration needed to recoup the exit fee will be much longer than any media rights deal that could be signed.
