What kind of hands does Barry Jr. have? Assuming that he isn't the starting running back, what about splitting him - or perhaps another quick, shifty back - out as a slot receiver and tossing some swing passes or quick slants to him?
A lot of teams are using those plays almost as an extension of the running game as a way to get their skill players out in space. If they can make the first guy miss, they can pick up nice gains.
It also makes it a bit tougher for the defense to stack eight in the box to stop the run. (Without Stepfan and with a more experienced Hogan we might not face that as much anyway next season, but it might spread the D if we have more playmakers on the field.)
This strays away from our power attack a bit, but it seems that we potentially have better depth at RB than at WR or TE, and I don't know many folks who can run through and over defenders the way Kulabafi can.
