There is no question that the transfer portal has had a disproportionate impact on Stanford football. Just seeing Yurocek playing for Georgia vs Texas was an unpleasant reminder of some of what we lost to the portal. I do think that Stanford has some options on how to benefit from the portal.
Yurosek had 15 catches and 185 yards with Georgia. 2nd string behind Oscar Delp. 3rd string Lawson Luckie had 24 receptions.
Did he improve his position for the NFL by going to Georgia? He had 91 catches in two years at Stanford, for nearly 1,100 yards.
