I also believe that if we do not see significant improvement it the results next year TT must be replaced. I am willing to consider the exact circumstances at the end of next year. Having 5 wins and/or making the top 70 would IMO almost certainly indicate enough of a change in trajectory to justify retaining TT, all other things being "equal". I do however think the perception of how we got our 5 wins could matter a lot. Our strength of schedule may play a role, and how we competed in the games we didn't win might count. Another 3-7 or worse IMO definitely says we need to go another way. 4-7 would be similar unless there were very definite reasons to believe we were on our way to better things. Hard to imagine that being possible.
Unless there is something in the works that won't come to fruition until spring or summer quarter, Stanford is going to have Brown or Bachmeier at QB. That may be fine, possibly even great. However, going into the off-season it was generally assumed TT was going to bring in an "experienced" QB upgrade. That didn't happen. Again, that may be fine, but it does mean we start the year with an inexperienced QB and an OL that is a question mark at best. That isn't encouraging IMO.
