IMO…. Rule 1 - Never give extra points to alums when considering candidates for positions of this magnitude. Hire the best candidate regardless of where they earned their degree. Stanford, Yale, Cal State (fill in the blank) or any other four year institution - it makes no difference. It is the experience they acquired and the results they produced after their college years that matter.
