That'll do it. A slightly bright sign that Driscoll and Xu were fighting against #13 Tanguilig/Matlby. Just given the impressive lineup that UNC has, it's hard to see where we grab 4 points. If Yepifanova has anything left in the tank after yesterday's heroics, I'll be surprised.
UNC 1 Stanford 0
#4 Reese Brantmeier v. #11 Connie Ma (Last time out, Connie led Reese on Stanford's home court in the third.)
#50 Tatum Evans v. #6 Valerie Glozman
#20 Theadora Rabman v. #84 Caroline Driscoll (Rabman split sets with Glozman at Stanford, and has since moved down a line.)
Alanis Hamilton v. Valencia Xu
#46 Carson Tanguilig v. Alexandra Yepifanova (Morgan Shaffer led Tanguilig 6-4 4-5 - but you have to wonder if Tanguilig was injured that time out and how Yepifanova will be doing.)
Susanna Maltby v. Chidimma Okpara
Just looking for other points of reference.
Tatum Evans did beat Ma 6-3 4-6 7-5 at ITA All Americans.
Glozman comfortably beat Rabman 6-4 6-2 at NCAA Individuals
In looking at past results, it's moments like these that I really wish we still had Alexis Blokhina and I wonder how her decision to go pro went down.
