There has to be a way to buy out the ACC. The Pac 12 will reform in 2026. It’s  a bunch of Mountain West teams Oregon State and Washington State.   They need  one team to be “official”. The ACC thing is absurd. Get back home.

There is no realistic chance of any changes until the end of this decade when the next round of television contracts come up for renewal in most conferences (and when the ACC exit fee drops to $75 million).  At that point, I believe we will see the end of the current conference structure and the beginning of groups of schools aligning based upon their perceived football value.  

Unless there is a significant change in Stanford’s football fortunes over the next several years, this upheaval would result in the Cardinal’s relegation to a group comprised of other schools in the western U.S.  that “don’t make the cut”.
