Stanford continued its years-long struggle in doubles in NCAA play. Getting 4 singles wins was just too big a hill to climb.
Yepifanova had an especially tough assignment. Her opponent had not lost at 5 all year (13-0). Yepifanova fought off multiple match points to win an epic 13-11 tiebreaker in the 2nd set. But made a few key mistakes in the 3rd set and that was it.
