IMO it is worthy of note that Gulbranson looked very good in the drive at the end of the first half that resulted in a FG. Does that mean he suddenly became good? No, he was taking what the defense gave him, and they gave slightly too much. Similarly, scoring a TD in garbage time is not necessarily indicative the offense is suddenly better. It generally means the defense is just trying to end the game with no injuries and maybe looking at some subs.
