Well... Does Brown throwing to his Mater Dei buddy CJ Williams get the start @NCAR?

I very seriously doubt it. I don't think the coaching staff shares the very positive opinion some on this have about Brown. Maybe the staff is incorrect, but they undoubtedly see much more of both QBs that we fans do. Stanford has a chance to win next week. I don't think moving to Brown as the starter is going to happen. If Gulbranson comes out in turnover machine mode next week, I can see him being pulled for Brown.

IMO it is worthy of note that Gulbranson looked very good in the drive at the end of the first half that resulted in a FG. Does that mean he suddenly became good? No, he was taking what the defense gave him, and they gave slightly too much. Similarly, scoring a TD in garbage time is not necessarily indicative the offense is suddenly better. It generally means the defense is just trying to end the game with no injuries and maybe looking at some subs.
