The university should continue to expand undergraduate enrollment as long as 1) there are more qualified students who want to come to Stanford than there are spots (well described) and 2) the size of the university isn’t so overwhelming as to change the fundamental character of the school (a bit more fuzzy, but I think we can increase enrollment substantially before Stanford ceases to be “the farm” as we know it), subject to agreemets from the school’s neighbors.
