Embo,
Hope all is well. Thanks for the reply.
I am well aware of Texas A&M's undegraduate enrollment student population number of approx 62,000 undergrads.
I am well aware that their Stadium holds 105,000 people.
I have attended 2 games at Kyle Field (Texas A&M).
Obviously i was talking about trying to replicate this proportionately as far as :
Filling our 50,000 person stadium, by going beyond Stanford Students & Alums and 'Stanford People'
(Here is just 1 option for Outreach 'Beyond Stanford People' to fill the Stadium on Saturdays !)
(1) The BayArea has over 2 miilion people, CollegeStation,Texas where A&M is, is small.
(2) The 49ers operating in the same geography, almost fill their stadium (which seats 70,000) every Home Sunday ; [This means their are at least 50,000 BayArea/NorthernCA based-people who like Football and Tailgating & Partying at weekend Football Events]
(3) Stanford has or should have a relationship with the 49ers [the 49er GM JohnLynch is a StanU Alum]
(4) If StanfordFootball & the Athletic Department do outreach to those 49er fans, to (A) let them know that they 'can get their Saturday Tailgating & Football Fix' down on the Farm & (B) arrange with JohnLynch and the 49ers that any 49er fan can apply thru the 49ers to get a free StanfordFootball season pass (maybe Stanford even pays the 49ers to promote this program) , ...and they get 25,000 of their 60,000 BayArea/NorthernCA based 49er fans to 'adopt StanU as their College Football team & Stanford University as their Saturday 'Tailgating & Partying Site', ...thats potentially adding 25,000 football fans each Saturday into the Stanford Stadium
(5) And this is just 1 option for outreach to 'Non Stanford People' to come down on Saturdays to fill the stadium.
(6) Lastly, I think StanU plans to 'increase undergraduate enrollment', which is a plan that is about 15 years overdue; 15years ago this should have been started. Not to be too critical (and i know there are challenges with the SantaClaraCounty on expansion), but we seem to always be 'a bit late to the party' on when we 'pull the trigger' on 'adapting to the New Landscapes'.
