A&M is really just a football team with some schools attached to it. Yeah, I've had family members with Aggie degrees and all, but no way would I ever want Stanford to be A&M. There's a reason they're a particularly good fit for the SEC. How much money are they paying Fisher and Sumlin not to coach there?
Now, if Stanford had as much booster/NIL money as A&M did, I would say Stanford could have a nearly/equally successful football team. I don't know if that would cause Stanford Stadium to turn into a temple to college football, but we'd need the money first.
If we want to be A&M, we gotta pony up and put our money where our mouths are. It just doesn't happen the other way around. You think Notre Dame, with about 8.9k undergrads is a great program simply because they turn out a lot of fans? Lol.
