Putting aside the "charging no more than what the market will clearly bear" argument (i.e., why should they "leave money on the table" when they clearly feel the "need" to raise funds via the Buck/Cardinal Club, etc. to fund our athletic department)... even if they were under some moral obligation to price this on a cost-plus basis, do you have any idea what their costs are for this? For all we know, they could be paying $40-50 a person to the Rose Bowl, per some land-use or affiliation clause in their contract, no? I'm not saying they are... just that we don't really know what real profit they are or aren't retaining on this. I can tell you that the experience was well worth the hefty price at both the Orange and Fiesta bowls, so I'm not complaining (just hoping they don't cheap-out on the execution, and that it hasn't become overwhelmingly large).
