Having watched the 2nd UCLA game several times, I noticed that our inside linebackers (primarily Skov) would not see Franklin until he was already running by him. He does wear that clear eyeshield which he kept wiping off due to the amount of rain falling that evening...I can't help to wonder if that impaired his vision because on several occasions, he just wasn't reacting like Skov. I doubt we will see that performance again.
On the edges, our outside linebackers were commiting to a very aggressive pass rush that on several ocassions left them outside of the play. The offensive tackle would just help Chase or Trent along their rushing path leaving a brobdingnagian running lane on the edge that was heavily exploited by Hundley and Franklin. I am not sure why we did revert to a defensive scheme like we had against Oregon which was more focused on containing all run options without focusing so much on the sack.
Wisconsin has a couple of good receiver threats but are lacking greatly in the QB department. I do not see us being gashed on the ground again...expect to see a defensive scheme focused on stopping the run.
If I had a dollar every time I was distracted, I wish I had some ice cream.
