OTOH, it is hard for me to credit the idea that the AD and the Director of Football Operations would sign off on the hire of a DC and only then ask the Head Coach to opine. If they did that then they are incompetent. I also find it almost impossible to believe PK would have been "willing to sign" without first talking to the Head Coach (who would be his boss and who he probably would interact with very frequently). If Pritchard flip-flopped the scenario presented would be possible, but I see no other way it could be.
