Excellent summary as usual, VG. I agree with all your points. Jos dribbled out because she was used as a wing her first 3 years and hasn't been in the habit of playing as a true post. I'm afraid this may cost us this year because Chiney needs help in the post. What happened to Taylor? She was brobdingnagian in Baylor game but hasn't seen much PT. We need her 3s and boarding.
UConn fans have the nerve to be upset about "our" physical play. The no call on Dolson is first half was big as it would have been her 2nd, thus forcing her to bench. However, Geno may have played her anyway because he was short handed in the post and he does not strictly adhere to 2 foul sit rule like Tara.
The game was so painful to watch. We looked like we were still on break and feet in mud.Clearly Chiney was frustrated the rest of the team followed suit. It's the worse loss I've witnessed at Maples, including many TN meltdowns, FSU and Minn in NCAAs, Cal 5 yrs ago, and even the H game.
I was behind the band and I'm sure you heard me screaming with you to ATTACK! My other big beef (along with not attacking the press), is sloppy passing, too much dribbling and lazy passes. Our guards were not ranked in h.s as UConn's, but that's no excuse not to emphasize sound fundamentals like crisp passing and dribbling.
Lastly, agree with you about Geno. Glad he got T-ed up.
