I agree with itsasport. It comes down to personnel in women's bball, and same is true for vball and soccer. There is very little parity in all three sports, and when Geno gets the top h.s player 7 times, it's bound to help him win many games and championships. By comparison, Stanford has 2 top h.s. bball players, Nneka and Chiney.
Also, as VG said, it's all about guards and to go deep in NCAAs, you need guard play, true for women and men. We have been stymied by injuries to guards over the last 10 yrs (King x2, Carey for good, Ros Gold Onwude, Murphy x2, JJ Hones x2 (drunken golf cart escapade notwithstanding). I have high hopes for Camp and Green, who were also hurt, but it seems we are always in need of true pg leader. Bottom line, our guard play is vastly different than UConn's and we need to step it up a notch.
