It's worth remembering that while Stanford does sponsor 36 varsity sports, they're not all NCAA sports.  And I think only sports with NCAA-awarded championships (plus FBS football) are used to compute the Directors' Cup standings.

So we've never been able to count lightweight rowing, squash, artistic swimming, men's rowing, or sailing.
