The general consensus is that most coaches are too conservative for going for it on fourth down; fourth and 10 from the 33 is historically kind of a no-mans land, though with kickers improving the way they have I think the data is increasingly favoring kicking the field goal.  The punt buys you at most ~30 yards, and runs the real risk of netting you 13.  Going for it has a low chance of conversion, and a 50 yard field goal has historically been a stretch.  Really no great option, which also means no “wrong” option either.
