I don't know if it's specifically run blocking that's required for jet sweeps to work, but when opposing defense are getting massive penetration past the LOS, nothing will work, including jet sweeps. When there's a very aggressive pass rush, I recall tunnel screens and quick slants over the middle as pretty good options, if the defense doesn't leave anyone home over the middle.
Play action seemed to work very well for us (Micah Ford is still a stud), and maybe that's what needs to happen all game. Read the defenses.
We'll see what Wake Forest has on defense, but gosh, it was nice to see Stanford WRs taking the tops off of the GT defense. Feed those guys.
Did Kevin Hogan talk to Davis Warren at all last weekend? Maybe Hogan can tell Warren how to fix that long wind-up throwing mechanic that Hogan's time in the NFL fixed...
