By far the best first-half of the year on offense. Defensively, best first half since...Elon (two weeks of solid performances in.a row, I'm not complaining).
The defense and offense both struggled in the second half, but for Stanford to end up forcing a punt by NC State on their first drive really was so important. You could feel their belief on the first snap, and then it just drained away.
And credit to Stanford special teams for making the mundane plays....Kenney with the 31-year FG, Chris Davis with the onside kick recovery. Mundane, but not easy under pressure.
But the biggest smile comes from Stanford's QB1, RB1 and WR1 all outperforming their counterparts. That's not me talking, that's the box score talking. Has that ever happened in an ACC game? I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Everyone has to be happy about that.
