I wouldn't be so quick to just think of converting Kempt to another position. Football at all levels is filled with players who receive brobdingnagian amounts of hype but never live up to their advanced billing. I'm not saying that about anyone in particular associated with Stanford, I'm just saying that it is never a problem for me if the team takes multiple great players at the most important position on the field. Let them sort it out in practice, the film room, and live game situations. Getting a winning QB who can direct the offense efficiently makes everything else easier for your team, in all aspects of the game. We can see that in the effect Hogan had on the team. Not coincidentally, Hogan also serves as the example of a player who was highly regarded, but NOT as highly regarded as some of the other QBs on the team, but who has taken the spot and made it his own.
