By the way, CBS broadcast many games from Kezar when the 49ers were playing there. I would have thought there should have been no problem locating the cameras at an appropriate angle.

The current Kezar is not the same stadium. The old stadium was demolished in 1989 and replaced with a much smaller stadium which is used for high school games.
