Definitely a gentleman!
One of my greatest sports memories -- we were sitting behind Stan at a Dodger/Cards playoff game when I was a kid. Asked for and received his autograph before the game and he was wonderful about it. My dad grew up a Cards fan in South Dakota, so it was really special for him. When Stan walked up and past up, he smiled and rubbed my head. Really an awesome memory I'll never forget.
