pretty interesting relook at Kaepernick.  he had a D-1 offer from Nevada -- that's it.  in the combine before his SR year, Kaepernick ran a 4.9 40 and a 4.5 shuttle (neither very nifty).  he also ran a wing T offense in HS and he put up modest numbers since he was limited to dozen throws or so per game.  lastly, Kaepernick had a poor throwing motion then.  Ault, his coach at Nevada, revamped his throwing motion to one more over the top (the drill was to throw the ball over the goal posts). 

for those that care, Alex Loukas was our 2006 QB recruit.  Greg McElroy was one of the ones we went after early that year.
