Scout lists his SAT at 1650. According to this website, that translates to 1090-1120 in the old system. If that's a reliable conversion chart, then I think he would have been borderline.

Kaepernick's gpa (4.0) and SAT (1170 on the old SAT score; 1650 under new) scores were above Loukas' reported gpa and SAT score.  I don't think Kaepernick would have been a borderline admit at all.  he was above the 2006 admitted football recruit's gpa average and below it in SAT score. 

iirc the 2006 class was the first admissions class after the end of Robin's Reign of Terror.
