Define "rebuilding year."
I think the rankings placing us as a top five team are an instance of irrational exuberance, for the exact reasons you mentioned. But then again I can't see us falling out of the top fifteen in most reasonable scenarios (i.e. no injury/crime waves, major scandals, and various other asteroid-from-nowhere calamities that randomly strike programs). Would finishing 2013 at, say, 9-3 ranked #13 be rebuilding? I don't think so, so I wouldn't say 2013 looks like a rebuilding year.
