Stepfan only had one year as the true feature back, though he clearly was the leader in 2010-11. 843 career carries at Stanford. By comparison, Montee Ball has 924 carries in his career (663 in the past two years.)
I'm all for running back by committee, as long as the difference between committee #1 and committee #2-4 is not that big.
