I remember when Wlat was fired, there was discussion of whether or not to give him one more year.  A bite-the-bullet decision was then made to fire Wlat after his second year, rather than drag things out.  We all know how that turned out, and had we waited another year, we wouldn't be where we are today.

The only reason I can think of keeping Dawkins is that he is a decent recruiter.  He seems to be able to convince players to come here.
