I thought I would look back and see how many 1st year players had started over the last half dozen years or so, to see how realistic Tara's suggestion that three newcomers could start next year.  I was pretty surprised by what I found.  I'm sure I could find more frosh starters if I went back further, but the record is pretty thin.

It should be noted that Pederson didn't just start.  She also played a ton of minutes. She also was asked to guard Candace Parker.  It's hard for me to truly remember how good she was.  What a rock.
