Unless the scoring rules have changed, though, women's water polo and men's volleyball are feast/famine propositions -- only the Final Four teams get points, and fourth isn't worth much. Moreover, at least in men's volleyball, only two spots in the Final Four would be available to Stanford. Right now, women's water polo looks good, but men's volleyball is pretty iffy. Also, baseball and softball will likely be in post-season, but high finishes are by no means guaranteed.
Terry was right about Oregon not being a threat [at least so far] -- they appear to have dropped like a rock [now tenth].
North Carolina, of course, is the only OTHER team ever to have won a Director's Cup.
