Have you given up on Shaw's potential to be a Stanford-lifer already? He's stated that he wants to be Stanford Joe Paterno (in term's of program longevity.) Because he went out and learned the coaching craft outside the Ivory Tower, does he not bleed Stanford red?

Is college baseball getting more competitive? Could that be one reason why the team's performance isn't as consistently elite as in the past?
